Beards Campaign

Beards

Fundraiser for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta: "Deer Camp Beards for Kids with Cancer."
The Middlebury Police Department is once again participating in a fundraiser for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. As in prior years, Middlebury police officers are allowed to grow facial hair contrary to department grooming standards as long as they make a cash contribution to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta provides respite and support to children afflicted with cancer and their families.
The fund raising program coincides with Vermont deer hunting seasons - archery, rifle and muzzle loader. Officers may grow facial hair between the start of archery season through the end of muzzle loader season.
The department doesn't solicit, but will welcome any donations from participants outside the department. 100% of the proceeds go to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta at the conclusion of the program.
