Investigation

This is a special assignment, staffed by a patrol officer drawn from the Patrol Unit.  The responsibilities of
this position include providing investigative support to the Patrol Unit and representing the Middlebury Police
Department on county task forces.  The officer assigned to this position assists the Patrol Unit by conducting
follow-up investigations and is also routinely assigned cases such as sexual assaults, death investigations,
frauds, etc.
